Goa International Airport will be the first Airports Authority of India (AAI)-operated airport to have its own radio station for flyers with AAI tying up with a major radio channel to launch Goa Airport Radio. The exclusive radio station will announce utility and flight related information together with curated music. Specially curated music will be played for passengers across all areas of Goa airport terminal, enhancing the travel experience of fliers at Goa International Airport, said Airport Director, Goa International Airport B.C.H. Negi.
"As per the demographic data of the passengers travelling through Goa Airport, more that 65% of the passengers are below 40 years of age. Keeping this passenger profile in mind and to improve the customer experience, AAI has decided to launch the radio station at Goa airport. This radio station as a service facility will help AAI to enhance the passenger experience and also make the time spent at airport a lot more engaging," Negi said.
