Leading online hyper local services market place Klikly has launched SHAKTI CAMPAIGN which is aimed to provide free Self Defense & Women Empowerment training to 15000 women of Delhi NCR.The decision was made at the Run for Laadli Event, an initiative of Delhi Police and Ladli Foundation Trust to spread awareness about gender equality and the need to stop crimes against women that was held on 17th December,2017 at JLN Stadium which was flagged off by Home Minister Rajnath Singh where Klikly participated as the key partner.
Founder of Klikly Muskaan Vig shared her about the SHAKTI Initiative Said “Being a woman myself I am aware of challenges which a girl faces in the society. With what we're seeing on the news every day, there isn't a better time to draw attention to this cause. Being a leading services marketplace it is our responsibility to make society a better place for women. They comprise of 50% of the total population and still they have a lot of challenges while moving out and this often leads to underutilization of their potential. We fail as a society if women face issues like molestation, teasing, rapes etc. This is a case with most of the girls that they don’t feel safe and secured. The issue of violence against women is a cause that we deeply care about and hopefully the women will take advantage of this free offer of self-defense training and learn how best to protect themselves when confronted with danger”.
Klikly will appoint team of Experts which will conduct workshops at various places such as schools, Colleges, RWAs, and Clubs, Corporate etc. The free classes are also open to women of all age group. Pre-registration for the free classes is suggested, but not required, in order to get an accurate head count of the expected turnout.
