Former Additional Director General (ADG) of Prasar Bharati Shri. Abhay Kumar Padhi passed away Monday i.e. on 21st Sept. 2020 due to COVID-19. He had tested positive for the virus a few days ago. A native of Sambalpur, he had been undergoing treatment at a COVID-19 hospital there.
He had joined Prasar Bharati in the year 1976. He had also served as the Senior Executive Officer of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan. Padhi had completed his graduation from Gangadhar Meher University (GM University) in the year 1970. He was a student of Ancient Indian History and European History. He had also completed his Post Graduation from the same university. He had done specialization in linguistics and phonetics. Padhi was also a former visiting faculty member at IIMC, Dhenkanal.
Prasar Bharati Parivar condoles the demise of Shri. Abhay Kumar Padhi and prays to the almighty for the peace of departed soul.
