The legendary producer director Subhash Ghai leaves no stone unturned to promote Indian Cinema and culture amongst the audiences of our country and cinema lovers across the globe. The visionary had taken the initiative of opening a premiere Film Making and media school that over the years has helped many film making junkies to pursue their dream and make a career in the field. Subhash Ghai has also gone beyond his school to promote the Indian cinema culture overseas by attending workshops and exchange programmes in various countries and does so even within the country. Recently the showman attended the Pravasi Divas celebration as the chief guest invited by the honorable Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar in Gurgaon.
Being invited as guest of Honor by Haryana Govt on for the two days festival, Subhash Ghai held a detailed discussion with the Chief Minister and Govt officials to set up a world class media and entertainment hub including studios, theatres and training centers. Mr Khattar extended full support of Government to the veteran filmmaker’s vision who has already set a world class state of art, educational Campus Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. CM shared his vision with potential NRI investors in developing Haryana as software power too apart from other industries.
Subhash Ghai in his speech said "Its high time when fast developing Haryana must focus to develop media and entertainment industry including Audio visual studios and training centers.” The success of the film ‘Dangal’ has given a huge confidence to the govt and the people to develop a cinema and media industry at the earliest.
During the day Subhash Ghai met the real DANGAL sisters, Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat who shared their experience with him on how a film has boosted their sport and spirit of every Haryanvi. Both the sisters were pleasantly surprised when Ghai spoke to them in Haryanvi and revealed that he graduated from Rohtak - Garh of Haryana. He made their day.
