AR Rahman decodes his 19-minute masterpiece `The Flying Lotus’ via TWITTER


13th November, 2017, Mumbai: Oscar & Grammy winner A R Rahman engaged with his 17.6 million Twitter fans on his recently released album which features the 19-minute masterpiece with the Seattle Symphony titled The Flying Lotus.
On Monday, the maestro tweeted “Have something interesting coming up for you. RT this tweet for a surprise”.  He followed this up with “I will be taking 5 questions on The Flying Lotus, so tweet using #TheFlyingLotus and I might just pick your question”. 
His fans on Twitter went into a frenzy sending back thousands of questions on The Flying Lotus from which he personally handpicked 5 to respond to via a series of videos.
In a candid conversational campaign, A R Rahman for the first time answered a range of questions on The Flying Lotus
·         Why did you think of naming it Flying lotus???

On 6th October 2017, AR Rahman released The Flying Lotus - 19-minute music piece which is his interpretation of a historical phase in India when the government announced demonetizationIt’s a collaboration with the internationally renowned Seattle Symphony, conducted by Ricardo Averbach. The album opened straight at #1 on the iTunes India album chart.
