Zee Cinema declares April 1st as Fukra’s Day; celebrates the birthday of Bijli ‘The Tiger’

Delhi, March 22, 2018: What do you call a group of pranksters…Fukras! To take the audience on a laughter riot and ensure that the day is packed with fun and entertainment, Zee Cinema, Home of Blockbusters has declared Sunday, 1^st April 2018 as Fukra’s Day as the channel airs the World Television Premiere of Fukrey Returns at 8pm. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the movie stars Richa Chadda, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal and Manjot Sigh in lead roles.

To promote the World Television Premiere of Fukrey Returns, Richa Chadda and Varun Sharma visited the capital where the movie was shot and made an appearance at the Delhi Zoo and celebrated Bijli ka birthday. Bijli, is the same tiger in the film who helps the Fukrey gang find treasure worth 10 crores!

Actress Richa Chadda said, “I had lots of fun portraying the character of Bholi Punjaban. It’s completely opposite to my personality which made it even more exciting. She is like a wounded tigress. Speaking of which, we visited the Delhi zoo to celebrate Bijli ka birthday. Bijli helped us find treasure worth 10 crores in the movie, so we owed her one. I am from Delhi so chidiyaghar is my favourite childhood hangout place. My school is very close to it, so we would come here all the time.”

Actor Varun Sharma said, “Today we are here to celebrate the birthday of Bijli who helped us Fukras find the jackpot. It was like meeting an old friend. I should thank the team at Zee Cinema for giving Richa and me this unique opportunity. The idea is not just to celebrate Bijli’s birthday but also to raise awareness.  Tigers are now endangered species and I would sincerely urge everyone to stop hunting animals and save the nature.”

The movie Fukrey Returns which made a whopping 100 crores at the box office picks up a year later from where it ended. Having enjoyed the spoils of war they had so audaciously waged, the Fukras are now at crossroads with their past, which is about to decide their future. Bent upon a merciless payback, Bholi Punjaban is back and all set to take the Fukras on a deadly ride! Even a city, as geographically varied as Delhi is not large enough for them to design a well-defined escape trajectory. Unaware of how they're being master minded by a certain head honcho, the Fukras are on the run again!!

Are the four Fukras going to play out their cards carefully? Will Choocha's God gifted power come to their rescue? In this furious yet hilarious cat and mouse chase, who will have the last laugh?!
