Mumbai FC score emphatic win
Mumbai, April 25: Fancied Mumbai FC had things much their own way as they romped to a facile 12-2 win against Hotel Mantralay FC, in a Group ‘C’ league match of the 1st WIFA State Youth Championship, which is being organized as part of the FIFA-AIFF State Development Project, and played at the Cooperage ground on Tuesday.
Striker Ammar Momin with four goals led Mumbai FC charge to this big win. He was ably supported by teammates Sidarth Konkar, Altamesh Valsanghar and Amit Sharma, all scoring two goals each and Karm Mulchandani and Ishan Atra, both adding one each to complete the winning tally. Hotel Mantralay scored two goals through Raj Naik and Ritesh Lakhi.
In another match of the same group, Nashik Football Coaching Centre blanked St. John’s Club, Nagpur 4-0. Sidden Mardge, Yash Gangwal, Rutig Abirrao and Samarth Pardeshi, all scored a goal each to seal the Nashik team’s victory.

Maharashtra make winning start
Mumbai: Maharashtra started their campaign on a winning note defeating Himchal Pradesh by a convincing 5-0 margin in a Group-C league match of the 51st Junior National Football Championship 2016-17, for the Dr. B.C. Roy Trophy and played at Cuttack, Odisha.
For Maharashtra the goals came through the efforts of Marc D’souza who netted a brace of goals and Sanket Salokhe, Mohammed Kamran and Alfred Negal, all three chipping with one each.
Maharashtra will take on Tripura in the next match on Wednesday, April 26.
