A three day Workshop was organized by the Regional Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia Thiruvananthapuram on the topic "Conducting Enquiries and Handling Court Cases" from 07.08.2018(Tuesday) to 09.08.2018 (Thursday) at HPT, Doordarshan, Kochi. 24 officials from various field offices of both All India Radio & Doordarshan participated. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri. Radhakrishnan.S, ADP, RABM(P) who was the Course Coordinator too. Shri.Jose Paul, DD(E), HPT presided over the function. Smt.Lekha Gopal, PEX welcomed the participants.
The Sessions were handled by Shri.R.Jnanadevan(Deputy Director & Vigilance Officer, Coconut Development Board, Kochi), Shri.A.Sreekumar (Former IB Officer & Former Chief Manager-HR & Training, FACT, Kochi), Smt.Rakhi Krishnan (SAO, AIR, Thiruvananthapuram), Shri.P.Gopakumar (Former SAO, AG's Office), Adv.Thanuja, Counsel Central Administrative Tribunal, Kochi) etc.
Interactive sessions on topics like "Disciplinary Proceedings, Basic Principles & Rules, Major Penalties and Minor Penalties, Seeking explanation, Issuing Charge Sheet, Filing of Replies & Counter Applications, The Principles and functioning of Vigilance Commission of India, Departmental Enquiry Proceedings, Action to be taken by the Office on the petitions filed in various Courts, Engagement of Govt. Counsels, Filing of Counter Replies, Filing of Appeals, Various appellate Authorities, Measures to be taken to avoid Contempt of Court, Defending Contempt cases, Mock Enquiries based on Case Studies, etc. were effectively dealt with in the Workshop which concluded on 09.08.2018.
