Joined as a Transmission Executive on 27.09.1984 at DDK, Cuttack, Smt. Malati Singh has served many Doordarshan Kendras such as DDK, Raipur, DDK, Bhopal & DDK, Bhubaneswar in different capacity. She was promoted to the post of Programme Executive in the year 1994 & to the post of Assistant Direct (Prog) in July' 2016. She has served as Head of Programmes at DDK, Bhopal from October'2015 to December'2017.
She got Doordarshan National Award in Women Prog. category in the year 2008 for the programme " Maa Hin Amara Sara Dunia" - a programme on Safe Motherhood produced by Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar in collaboration with UNICEF. While working at DDK, Bhubaneswar, she has produced "Kantha Kahe Kahani" ( A series on Health Issues sponsored by Health & Family Welfare Deptt. of Govt. of Odisha, "Shefali "( A programme on Children produced in collaboration with Sarva Shikhya Abhiyan, Govt. of Odisha), "Dandi Ramayan" ( in folk song format) which have received appreciation from viewers as well as press. She has also contributed a lot as a Producer while working at Regional News Unit(RNU) of DDK, Raipur. She is a soft spoken , knowledgeable, dedicated and disciplined officer of the organisation.
