Shri R K Sharma DDE superannuates after a distinguished service of 35 glorious years. Sharma Ji joined AIR in 1984 as a young Engineering Assistant, and after regular promotions he rose to the level of Deputy Director Engineering. He was posted at various stations including Radio Kashmir Leh, J&K, AIR, Nagaur and different tenures at AIR, Jodhpur. A very soft spoken and a thorough gentleman, Sharma during his entire service had a very cool rapport with programme, and the administration wing of all the stations where ever he was posted. During his posting at All India India Radio Jodhpur, AIR Jodhpur received the best maintained stations award thrice, of which twice Shri Sharma was the team leader, and on one occasion of the award he was Head of the team. While posted in Nagaur, under his Headship AIR, Nagaur won the All India Manchanda Award in the Difficult Stations Category. His services right from Engineering Assistant to DDE will be remembered very fondly. He was very accessible to the whole staff, and had solutions for all the matters whether official or personal.
