Here is a radio producer cum writer with 30 years of experience in the fields of audio production, editing, conceiving and conceptualizing radio programmes that created pictures and visuals in the minds of listeners using sounds and words. This winner of 9 Akashvani annual awards/ Gandhian philosophy prize and one ABU international award is an optimist to the core. His documentaries represented India in 6 international radio competitions. This 2017 TMP fellow's ( given by The Media Project New York) illustrious career has made him one of the most admired and respected producer of All India Radio. He had the rarest of the rare opportunity to lead the team as the producer and nodal officer to create innovative broadcasting history in our country as All India Radio participated live from a bird sanctuary for DAWN CHORUS 2017 (the collective sound of all the birds that sing at dawn) for the first time, led by RTE Radio1, Dublin Ireland and 14 other European countries and European broadcasting union. This programme was broadcast live by all the major radio stations in Europe and North America and Asia. India was the only country outside Europe chosen for contribution during this live broadcast.
Dominic Thomas is Programme Executive with External Services Division of All India Radio New Delhi who superannuates on 31st March 2019.
