The government has taken a series of measures to improve the quality of DD News.Replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, Prasar Bharati has hired 17 new Digital Satellite News Gathering Vans for transmitting High Definition Signals.
He said, Prasar Bharati also procured and deployed nine such vans last year with the state-of-the-art technology.The Minister also reiterated that Prasar Bharati is an autonomous body and not run by the government.
