Sh R S Tyagi Dy Director General (Engg) AIR Jaipur Retires on 31st October 2020* on supernuation on 31st October 2020 after completion of illustrious service of more than 39 years .
All the staff members of AIR JAIPUR gave him a warm farewell on 29th October.Sh.Ram Karan Meena ADP and program head honoured him with Rajasthani safa and flowers.Reshma Khan PEX presented him a momento on behalf of the office.Sh Rakesh Jain head of CBS honoured him by Shawl.Jt Director News Sh Nilesh Kalbhor honoured him with buke.All the staff members also honored him with garlands.
All the speaker's on this occasion highly appreciated the achievement of Sh.Tyagi during his short 18 months tenure at Jaipur and shared their experiences of working with him. Sh.Rajesh Srivastava hilighted his major achievement during his posting at various Kendra's and implementation of strict discipline. Reshma Khan PEX/ Ex Programme head shared her experience with Sh Tyagi ji and hilighted his leadership qualities.Sh.Ram Karan Meena ADP also shared his experience and hilighted achievement during tenure at Jodhpur.Sh Rakesh Jain and Sh Kalbhor appreciated his way of working as head of family and his quality of taking care of each one working in the office.
Sh Tyagi joined All India Radio at Udaipur on 15th July 1981 as Engg. Asstt. and worked there till December 1987 and thereafter joined R&D AIR & DD New Delhi in January 1988 on transfer . He was selected through UPSC for Indian Broadcasting (E) Services in 1988 batch and joined at AIR Aizawl as Asstt. Director (Engg) 0n 30th May 1989. He worked in various capacities at different centers of All India Radio and Doordarshan namely HPT Kingsway Delhi, Planning & Development unit of DG AIR, AIR Bikaner, AIR Jhalawar, DDK Jaipur & AIR Jodhpur before posting as Dy Director General, to All India Radio, Jaipur. He has a wide experience of more than 39 years in the field of Broadcasting including field stations, planning, research and development and known as the expert in the field of Radio & TV production & terrestrial broadcasting He believes in the ethics of strict discipline, hard work and innovative ideas.
During his tenure at Doordarshan Kendra Jaipur from 15.02.10 to 25.11.2017 as Dy Director General, Kendra achieved the status of ISO 9001 International Standard for its well maintained Technical Infrastructure in the year 2010 and 24x7 DD Rajasthan satellite channel was launched 0n 15th August 2013.
He is a Life Fellow of the of Broadcast Engineering Society (India) and have been actively participating in the activities of this esteemed society. He was the CWC member of first Executive Council Rajasthan chapter established in the year-2005 and worked as a chairman of Rajasthan Chapter & member of national Executive Council of Broadcast Engineering Society (India) from 2012 -2016.
He has been associated with the professional bodies like Institute of Engineers (India) being its associate member since 1984 and number of social organizations.
Shri Tyagi believes in philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and takes keen interest in the social activities. He has also been closely associated with reputed social organization named Bharat Vikas Parishad for more than 25 years and has been constantly working towards its goal of promoting a sense of patriotism, national unity and integrity and culminating in Swasth-Samarth-Sanskarit Bharat i.e.physically, economically and morally strong India.
He has been honoured for his contribution in the field of broadcasting by various organisations.
1.Outstanding Engineer award on Engineers Day on 15.09.2010 by United Engineers Council, Rajasthan
2.Rajasthan Television Award 2016 for Excellence in Media
3. MUKUL N TRIVEDI 2019 award by Broadcast Engineering Society for innovative work in 300KW Transmitter at Jodhpur.
4. Outstanding Services to Society Award by Institute of Engineers Jaipur on Engineers Day 2019
He has also been honoured for his social services By Bharat Vikas Parishad & other social organisation on no. of occasions.
