Famous old Urdu poet Hans Raj Abrol (Arsh Sahabai) retired from the post of Chief Accountant Officer from Akashvani passed away.......

A reality will slowly become a story. The renowned Urdu poet Hansraj Abrol, named Arsh Sahbai, who describes life in his style, died at a residence in Jammu on Friday, 25 December 2020 He was 90 years old.
He was born on 3 December 1930 in Sherry village of Akhnoor and was later shifted to the silk area of Jammu. His funeral was held on Saturday at the crematorium in Jogigate. His elder son Arun Kumar Abrol gave a mukhagni. Several writers, artists and family members attended the last journey of Sahabai. Literary organizations mourning his demise, said the Urdu world has lost a famous poet. His demise has born a zero in Urdu Shayari.

Hundreds of shers of Arsh Sahabai are on the tongue of people. 25 of his books have been published. Two books are in the final stage of being published. His first book Shakast-e-Jam was published in 1958
Shiguft-e-Gul in the year 1961, well known people in 1966, Nayab in 2004 and in 2012 his book J & Kashmir Arts Culture & Language Academy was published in 2012 His works have been researched from Jammu University, Delhi University and Hyderabad University. Arsh Sahbai started working with Akashvani and later retired from Akashvani as Chief Accountant. His writing work went on throughout his life.
He was invited to the iconic Mushairs to be held across the country. They are counted among the selected poets of Urdu. Knowledgeable Urdu in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Britain reads very well. His poetry is taught in many universities.
