Shri S.S. Vempati, CEO Prasar Bharati has been elected to the Vice Presidency of the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), one of the world's largest union of Public Broadcasters, during the ABU General Assembly held virtually earlier today. He said he is thankful to NHK Japan for the nomination and to the Public Broadcasters of various Asia-Pacific nations for supporting the nomination and Look forward to working closely with President ABU Mr. Eren, TRT Turkey, fellow Vice Presidents Mr. Masagaki, NHK Japan, Mr. Yang, KBS Korea and ABU Secretary General Mr. Javad Motagghi to enhance collaboration between Public Broadcasters of the region.
