PeeCee too was overwhelmed talking about her commendable journey in the West. "The kind of films that came to me were very interesting because of 'Quantico'. You can't just arrive there and say I want to work in movies. People need to come to you with films." She added that she has always tried to take the offbeat track to build her career.
She also talked about playing the villain Victoria Leeds in 'Baywatch'. "I have played a villain in Hindi films before but I wanted Victoria to be very different. I wanted Victoria to be very very feminine and yet very cruel."
The former beauty queen, who has been catching up with her close friends and family for the past few days, shared how she managed to break not just one but many stereotypes in the West and managed to gain a firm foothold in the diverse industry. "There has been a stereotype not only in India but also in the West about the lack of understanding of Hindi films. When I walk down on the sets, I want them there to understand that I know my job quite well, which the Hindi film Industry has taught me over the years."I am Priyanka Chopra' and introducing myself to everyone in the room. I don't think we should carry our achievements like that. I don't feel small when I walk in. When I worked in India for the first time even you guys (Indian media) didn't know me and over the years you guys have warmed up to me."
Talking about her future endeavours, the global icon shared that she has blocked a couple of projects in India. "I have locked three films but I can't say when I'll start working on them as I have to check my schedule. I have definitely missed Hindi films. This is my home and it's been really a wonderful homecoming."
