Vaunt International Fashioner Week Summer Solstice 2018 presented by Usha Shriram Mobile Phoneskick-started with fashion and glamour. The Fashioner Week was held at The Umrao Hotel, Delhi from 7th – 8th April 2018.
Season 1 was a point of contact for national and international designers getting into the higher notch of fashion. Delhi, a leading fashion city witnessed youngest fashion designers to professional designers making it a successful event to remember.
The fashion show was honoured by Actress Richa Chadha who was the showstopper for designer Rinku Sobti for her collection ‘Trancsending’ that drew an inspiration from the woman's spirit to go beyond - Beyond her range of limitations drawn by society or her own upbringing.
Adding to the glamour, gorgeous Divya Khosla Kumar walked for designer Parul J Maurya of label ‘Ethnique River’ who unveiled her menswear collection ‘Traveler’. The collection signified the new era of menswear, an inspiration for modern age man who loves travelling, exploring, who is playful and free-spirited along with her international designer Vikas Dayal from Singapore and Timsy Dhawan of label ‘RTR’, making the event more extravagant.
Last but not the least famous model Carol Gracias graced the ramp with her glamours walk for Vaunt by Palavi Agarwal and Deepa Jain label of Usha Shriram Mobile phones, the event also welcomed international designer Luke Rooney who celebrated the use of colour, texture, print and embellishments graced the fashion week with his presence.
A luxurious line-up of the audience, an amazingly lit ramp, and an assortment of brilliant designers brought this event to life. The spectators enjoyed a spread of cultural tradition and fresh innovation.
The Fashion week opened with Institute’s Show – INFID Gurgaon and London School of Trends showcasing an amalgamation of culture and modern twist of women’s wear. Next show was presented by Ungoor where designers Vinashri Oswal & Shyam Shriram of label ‘Vinashri-Shyam’ and Moumita Jana & Sarika Despande of label ‘Moumita-Sarika’ unveiled their latest summer’18 collection.
The show then followed by Designer’s lane where designers came together and displayed their collection of allure and fashion. Designer’s lane saw designers Apurva Anil Pawar of the sustainable driven label ‘Karghaai’. The collection was a capsule range of resort wear, where the fabrics used were floral print hand woven ikkat, embroidered chanderi cotton, cotton and satin linings, and vegan leather. Other designers from the show were designers Shweta Patel, ‘Vibhika’ by Shalu Agarwal, ‘Ila’ by Nitesh&Deba Smita and Harsh Juneja of label 'Redweds’ displaying their piece of the collection.
Providing dynamic stage to NewGen, Student designers from IIFT, Surat showcased their collection on a larger platform followed by online fashion partners Ungoor show. Taking fashion to another level next, the fashion week had its day dedicated to Handloom Day and Bangladesh Day. Saak presented Handloom Day where designers Shipra Shroff and Pooja Vikram of ‘Trendz De Ushnakmals’showcased their handloom collection on the runway. Ashikur Rahman and Jahanara Rahman of ‘J.S Fashion’ from Bangladesh unveiled the culture of Bangladesh through their creations.

The stunning ensembles plus in attendance admirable designs added a striking charm to the nightfall. All in all, the first day of the Vaunt International Fashioner Week 2018 was full of opulence.
