Shri Ramesh Gulani, former staff artist of AIR Pune expired on 15-06-2020 after a brief illness. Shri Gulani was a gifted flute artist and even after retirement he used to come and perform at various social and cultural events organised by Akashvani Pune Parivar. His enthusiasm and zeal to do something for the society even being visually impaired made him an inspiration for many Akashvani Pune members.
Few years back, on their call he came with an orchestra of all blind people and performed in Akashvani Pune Parivar function without any charge. Just a year back, he was at Pune Airport giving thunderous performance at a live function co-hosted by Airport authority and Akashvani Pune Parivar. He will occasionally come to office, holding the hand of his flute disciple to meet his friend at Akashvani Pune and will say that "I want to go to any Government school or to a Garib Basti with Akashvani Pune Parivar for any Social Work and to motivate the Youth that When a man who is Blind can do something for the society, why don't thousands of Youth can put atleast a part of their strength and potential for the welfare of the downtrodden and needy."

People like Mr. Gulani never Die. They Continue to Live despite leaving their body in the heart of many, always pointing a finger towards your ability and challenging you to come out of the trend of working solely for personal gains and contribute little for others....
