Chakravarthy, superannuate today, the 30th of June 2020, with a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment of having served with inimitable dedication and unsurpassed brilliance.
We at AIR feel privileged for having served under his unmatched leadership in upholding the mandate of public service broadcasting in reaching out to our audiences, with a rare professional acumen combining a balanced and sensitive approach to programming, at both Regional and National platforms.
From everyday programming, spanning a bouquet of six radio channels at AIR Chennai to special initiative like Kavi Sammelan, Invited Audience Festival Programmes, Regional and National Level Running Commentary, Live Mastermind Quiz. Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan, National Programme of Music. AIR Music Competitions, Music, Drama and language Auditions to efficient and timely management of natural disaster situations, not to forget his deft handling of the ongoing Covid emergency, he managed them all with a rare equanimity, orchestrating the limited available manpower resources, with a magie wand that only he could manifest with apparent ease
As we salute the perseverance and unflinching devotion of our Station Director, Shri. V. Chakravarthy who went beyond the call of duty to uphold the high traditions and sanctity of our mighty and esteemed AIR, we come together at this moment with a deep sense of gratitude and pledge to rededicate ourselves to his spirit of service.
