Shri. M Peter, UDC ,AIR Chennai retired on 31.01.19. Shri. M Peter has joined Govt. service in the year 1981 in the Publications Division coming under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at New Delhi. His service span spread over various Ministries like Urban Development, Industry, Petroleum & Natural Gas and finally he came to All India Radio in the year 2014.
He has assumed different roles and responsibilities during his entire service, however, a special mention should be made as he had served as a Language PA to Ministers of State. He is a very enterprising and multi-faceted personality. It is very amazing to note that in spite of his frequent switching over to other Ministries for the betterment, he had apportioned some of his valuable time to focus on studies at the later part of his career and completed Master in Computer Application awarded by IGNOU and with this knowledge in Computer, he had developed software's useful to the Departments wherever he had served. It is really a laudable effort.
Further, it is interesting to note that his never-quenching thirst for Tamil Literature is remarkable. He has written poems in Tamil and written books on Thirukkural and furthermore, here at AIR, Chennai he has also penned dialogues for Dramas which were broadcast. In addition to these, he had also read Live Tamil News Bulletins broadcast from New Delhi. A very sincere, dedicated and hard working personnel.
All the Staff of AIR Chennai and Prasar Bhararti Parivar wish Shri M.Peter a very happy, peaceful and healthy retired life.
