Akashvani Pune Parivar celebrated World Radio Day in a unique way by opening its gates to the young school children of not so privileged class, who are a important component of the Indian society and are the real future of the country. Around 250 students from identified schools marched in a rally to Akashvani Shivajinagar premises singing songs and displaying banners praising Akashvani all the way and attracted big crowd. Every school also performed on the stage of Akashvani Pune auditorium and the best performances were awarded. Awards were also given for the best performances during the rally and for the best drawing made by the participated students. The theme of the drawing competition will be "Desh ki Vani, Akashvani"
The event was led by Shri Ravindra Ranjekar, President Akashvani Pune club and was supported by Dilip Palde, Kishore Khadkikar, Nivrautti Borate, Dyneshwar Bagade, Bindu Nair, SK kadam, DN Nangre, Santosh Patange, Sagar Raut and many other staff members. Akashvani Pune employees (MTF to DDG) collected money for the function and treating the children and didn't spent from office fund. After-all celebrating World Radio Day and making our Akashvani popular is our personal commitment and duty too.....
