Technical Review published by "Asia – Pacific Broadcasting Union" is the leading international journal in broadcasting arena. Scholarly articles, by leading authors across Asia Pacific Region, are published in it and are available on quarterly basis. Seven successive issues between 2015 to 2017 (Issues No. 263, 264, 265, 266, 267, 268 & 269)contained articles from different authors from AIR &DD. A great feat indeed.
Lastly during the year 2018, four issues were published; namely 273Q1, 274Q2, 275Q3 and 276Q4. Articles from Prasar Bharati Engineers featured in three consecutive issues in it and one of it ,authored by Satyajeet Dash, DDG(E) won First Commended Article Prize . The other article in same issue by Rajeev Kumar , Umesh Sikri etc.., is also an illustrative chronicle on Spectrum planning for DD Terrestrial Network. It is an initial and most important step in the process of planning for digital migration. Meenakshi Singhvi DDE & S N Singh DDG(E) are other prominent writers, whose articles are very informative. There are many Indian faces of AIR & DD officers , featured in the latest issue of ABU Technical Review i.e 276Q4, including two officers at page 23 under "ABU Technical Bureau 2018/2020".
Another pride moment is about the articles authored by M S Duhan DDG(E) {MSD} which were figured in three successive issues i.e 274Q2, 275Q3 and 276Q4. Articles titled " Frequency Planning for 2x630 Digital Terrestrial Transmitters (274Q2), Tower'ing Tasks: Criticality in Digitalisation of a Terrestrial Network(275Q3) and Anatomy of RF Amplifiers – Failure Mechanics and Maintenance Strategies(276Q4)" constitute glorious hat-trick in three issues of a year by any author (Duhan in this case).It is rare & perhaps first "Hat-Trick" authored by one author in successive issues in the history of AIR & DD. Is't it ? Thus it is a proud moment for Prasar Bharati and warrants for "High-T" . Here "T" may be read as "Talk". Do you agree? Perhaps ----.
