As if love isn't already complicated among individuals, but how immensely complicated is it with the ‘woman of the night’. There may be similarities in certain aspects, but then there is a great diversity in their personalities, lifestyles and most importantly their upbringings. It is easy for us to judge a sex worker, but extremely difficult to put ourselves in their shoes. Being in love with a prostitute and facing no repercussions from the society is almost a dream in India. Life is not as smooth as it appears in ‘Pretty Woman’ where Julia Roberts gets her happily ever after.
Love on the Run on MTV will be delving deep into the issue with the love story of an army boy and a prostitute. Shikhar, played by Shehzad Khan falls in love with Mukti, Saanvi Talwar despite knowing about her background. Shikhar belongs to a classy army family and Mukti, a prostitute has never had a family and never received love and warmth in her life. However, things take a turn for the worst when his parents come to know about Mukti’s reality.
Commenting on the upcoming episode of Love on the Run, Saanvi Talwar said “Love on the Run is all about love and how it knows no bounds. I played the character of a girl named Mukti who is a prostitute. The episode showcases the love story of Mukti and a soldier .It is very unfortunate that girls have to get into prostitution to fulfil their basic needs . No girl would prefer living the life of a prostitute and would always want to settle with her family and have a loving husband. It was a very different and challenging character since I have mostly played characters that are family-oriented.”
