All India Radio, Bengaluru celebrate 127 birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on 14.04.2018 at AIR campus. The function was inaugurated by A. Hanumanthu, DDG(E) and HOO by the lightening the lamp. First time in All India Radio, Bangalure three type tree ie guava fruit, jack fruit and mango plant were planted in campus. Subbaiya, Shivaprakash and H.N. Gopinath sung a song on Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.Bhimrao Ramji Amedkar popularly known as Babasaheb, was an Indian Jurist, Economist, Politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Budhist movement and campaigned against social discrimination against untouchables said A. Hahumanthu, DDG(E) in his presidential address. He described the Indian constitution drafted by Ambedkar as first and foremost a social document.
Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated every year by the people and Staff of All India Radio, Bangalore with great enthusiasm more than like a festival on 14th April in order to commemorate the the birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and his contributions of the people of India said S. P. Methre, Director (Eng) after planted mango tree. 
Dr. D. Padmavathy, AD(P), CRD said Ambedkar supported rights of women and labour. After India's indepence, the new Congress led Government invited Ambedkar to serve as the nation's law minister, which he accepted. On 29th August he was appointed Chairman of Constitution Drafting Committee, and was appointed by the Assembly to write India's new constitution said Padmavathy after planted guava fruit. 
Now also his thoughts are relevant said Udayadri, AD(P), CBS after planted jack fruit plant. He said the Education Dept., Govt. of Maharastra published the collection of Ambedkar's writing and speeches in different volumes. The constitution prepared by Ambedkar provided constitutional guarantees and protections for a wide range of civil liberties for individual citizens, including freedom of religion, the abolition of untouchability, and the outlawing of all forms of discrimination. H.N. Gopinath welcome the gathering. Shivaprakash made introduction and biography speech on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. All India Radio staff members of CBS, PC, CRD, CCW, News wing, ARU were witnessed the function. Then sweet was distributed.
