The hunt for a new singing sensation will culminate after weeks of contestants battling it out to impress more than 130+ million people, who voted while the performances were beamed live. Who will win? The decision is entirely up to the audience.
The show themed #UthaoSochKiDeewar showcased the struggles faced by the courageous and talented contestants, who fought stereotypes and shattered prejudices to get on stage. They came from across the country and from all walks of life. Vishnumaya, the young girl from Kerala who didn’t know Hindi, rocked Bollywood melodies and won hearts. Sindhutai, a 60-year-old, music-loving postwoman, was a victim of domestic abuse. Like them, each contestant was a fighter who proved that dreams and aspirations have no barriers.
