Sh. S.K.Malhotra , Programme Executive , All India Radio Jammu retires today after rendering 30 years of meritorious service to the Department. A graduate in Agricultural Sciences, Sh. Malhotra joined All India Radio, the then Radio Kashmir Jammu, on 16th of February, 1987 as Farm Radio Reporter. He was promoted as Programme Executive (Farm and Home) on 18th of January , 1999. During this period he looked after Farm and Home Programmes for rural women , Health and Family Welfare programmes. He acted as stock character " Sevak" in the popular rural programme " Des Sohaman" (the programme later renamed as "Kisan Vani" ). He also voiced daily agricultural hints to the farmers in the programme "Uttam Kheti" and also participated in daily afternoon programme for rural families- "Namin Chetna" . He had varied experience of working at various stations of All India Radio in the state ,viz. AIR Jammu, AIR Kathua and AIR Poonch. While working at AIR Poonch he had to face the challenges of militancy and the cross border firing.
Currently he was working as Programme Head at AIR Jammu . Staff of All India Radio wishes him Happy and Healthy post retirement life.
Prasar Bharati Parivar wish him a happy, peaceful and settled retired life.
