Legendary character actor, Satish Kaushik is the first guest on IVM Podcast’s show “Bollywood Scene Stealers” and we are amazed at the interesting little tit-bits that he has given us about his life as a character actor in Bollywood, while in conversation with veteran film journalist Indu Mirani. Known for his iconic performances as ‘Calendar’, ‘Muthuswamy’ amongst many others, when Indu asked him about his opinion on the importance of training and acting schools for today’s actors, this is what he said – “I think that you need to have the talent but acting school and getting training is very very necessary because in today’s time, you have to polish your craft. It’s not that you are just an actor, it is a craft you have which you should use nicely. The whole scenario is changing and why an actor like Naseer or Anupam or Manoj Bajpayee or Shabana are talked about is their training. It makes an actor very different for those people who have gone through this training of polishing their craft.”
