Today Launch of JanaJal water ATM was done at Kalyan station in Mumbai in the presence of Dr. Shrikant Shinde, Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Kalyan Lok Sabha.
This time JanaJal is launching 39 water ATMs in association with IRCTC and Indian Railways at various stations in Mumbai such as Kalyan, Chembur, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mankhurd, Wadala, Dockyard Road upto Khopoli, Lonavala and even Igatpuri.
The aim is not only to make safe drinking water available and accessible at a nominal cost but also to educate people about the conservation and preservation of water by harnessing suitable technologies and implementing them. Good work never goes unnoticed and such is the case with JanaJal too. Recently the company has receivedFDI of USD 5 million from Tricolor Cleantech Capital, LLC a US based social impact fund.
JanaJal aims to deliver one billion liters of safe drinking water annually by 2018.
