Para-olympians at AIR, Cuttack studio for YUVAVANI programme


Saundarya Kumar Pradhan and Prachurya Kumar Pradhan, the visually challenged brothers have made the country proud by winning Silver Medal, in the recently concluded Asian Para Games, Djakarta, Indonesia. Hailing from a small village named Satibhata near Padmapur town of Bargarh District, these two brothers are playing chess from childhood and are winning National and International laurels. In August 2018 Saundarya won Silver in the World Junior Blind Chess Championship held in Poland. Visually challenged from their childhood, Saundarya and Prachurya are trained in chess by their uncle Kesha Ranjan Pradhan, who himself played chess at State level. The brothers duo were felicitated on their victory by the Hon'ble Prime Minister and Union Sports Ministry, at Delhi while returning from Djakarta.
All India Radio, Cuttack invited the two brothers to Auxiliary Studio, Bhubaneswar for interview, which is slotted for broadcast in Yuvavani programme, shortly.
