AIR, Jeypore wins First Prize in Public Announcement category at AAA, 2017

A traditional folk tune, pani marigala jhain (roughly translated as - here came rain gusting). A nice rendering by a popular singer Prasant Kumar Samantray. Innovatively the message of national immunization Incorporated into the nice tune with almost a universal appeal. What more can one require to make it to First Prize in the category of Public Announcement Programme.

Sri Jagadish Adhikary, Programme Executive is the proud winner for his programme Indradhanu@9, imparting the message on the 9 vaccines required during the first two years of infancy. His team comprising of Bijoy Kumar Samantray, composer and Ranjan Kumar Behera, Sr. Announcer made it to the top. This is the first time, that AIR, Jeypore bagged the Award for this category. Another feather in the cap of AIR, JEYPORE.

Sri Ranjan Kumar Behera, to his credit has won merit certificate in the category of Lassa Kaul Award for programme on National Integration. His musical presentation 'Kahaku Na Maniba Para' meant for children attempts to spread the message of unity in diversity and tolerance.
