All India Radio, Thrissur(Kerala) has won the 'Certificate of Merit' in the Akashvani Annual Competition -2017 for its production 'JANALA' (Window), in the Radio play category. The drama was produced by K.R.Charly, who was a Senior Announcer in All India Radio, Thrissur till May 2018, and scripted by Socrates Valath, a renowned writer in Malayalam. The drama depicts the story of a deprived family and they were isolated from the society due to their poverty, survived their difficulties during floods with their wit and humour. The well known drama artists like M.D.Rajendran, Remadevi, G.K.Geetha, Sreemoolanagaram Ponnan, Master Benhar Valath, Sindhu T. Gangadharan, Divya, Kripa, Uthara, V.K.K.Ramesh and Hareesh baal were participated in the drama. The play was broadcast in the All Kerala Radio Drama festival in 2017, and received accolades from the listeners.
