The Sprinter Sensation Dutee Chand
Dutee Chand (born 3 February 1996) is an Indian professional sprinter and current national champion in th women's 100 metres event. She is the third Indian woman to ever qualify for the Women's 100 metres event at the Summer Olympic Games. However in the 2016 Summer Olympics, her 11.69s in the preliminary round did not make her qualify to the next round. In 2018 Chand clinched silver in women's 100m at the Djakarta Asian Games. It was India's first medal in 20 years in this event since 1998.

Her struggle to success is no less inspirational than her feats in athletics. All India Radio, Cuttack had the opportunity of recording an in-depth interview with her on her tryst with success. Her interview is slotted for state-wide-broadcast in 4 parts of 15-minutes duration each, on 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th November at 8.00 PM, in the series SIDHA KATH.
