Chennai DDK started in August 1975 and it had many employees working in different categories and status as a family members. Though there used to be difference of opinions and egoistics problems all of us were together and even after retirements the 43 years of bonding friendship continued and the Friends of DDK as a family group we meet once in a while with a gap of 3 or 4 months and share our nostalgic memories. On 3rd November, 2018 such a meet was organised at YOUTH Hostel, Indhiranagar, Chennai. Amidst heavy rains which started in morning as a threat to organising team people slowly started coming and it was a heavy arrival of members with a bright sunshine which cleared up the rainy clouds.
Before starting the event the members paid a Silent tribute to our old colleagues who had left us recently. Mr.Nallathambi, Senior most member of our group addressed the gathering and read out the tribute message for the following. They are Prince Jaisingh ASD, James Durairaj Engg dept. Who used to be in telecine, Prasad Sarva sound Recordist, TV Rajah @Basha Admin side, Prasanna kumari from Admin side. After that people shared nostalgic memories and photo sessions were held and events ended with a tasty homely food organised by the team. An event managed and organised by our team members coming from four directions me from Sriperambadhur, Shanmughanathan from Oorappakkam, Prem from Valasaravakkam, Sudhakar from Ashok nagar. It was a dedicated service for friends to Unite and share and enjoy their memories. I thank all friends who made it a point to attend even with all rains and shines. It was a great event which had energised all old people with Young thoughts in the Youth Hostel for the old friends. .முதுமையில் இளமை வழங்கியது இளைஞர் விடுதி் அனவருக்கும் நன்றி.
