Shri K Periasamy,EA, AIR Chennai retired on 30 th April 2019

Shri K Periasamy,EA, AIR Chennai retired on 30 th April 2019. He joined As Technician at Vellore LPT, AIR on 26.10.1984. He has to his credit of being involved in the installation of the first UHF 300 Watts Transmitter at Vanniyambadi and Thirupathur. On 29/01/1988 he got promotion as Sr. Technician at LPT, Vellore itself. Thereafter, he was transferred to LPT, Yercaud and subsequently to DDK, Chennai. In the year 1999, he was promoted as Engineering Asst at DDK, Chennai. It is worth mentioning here that he had worked in NEC Analog, Digital and RN 20 KW Transmitters. He has got rich experience in new High Definition TV, Captive Earth Station, Studios and all VIP OBs. In the year 2012, he was transferred in the same capacity to AIR, Chennai and till date where his services are being utilised in the FM Transmitter and Studios. He is a Specialist in Antenna, Transmitter, DSNG and Captive Earth Station. During his stint at DDK, Chennai, he was associated with the in-plant Training and this has resulted in Department earning Rs.11 Lakhs and 84 Thousand as revenue. A very laudable effort indeed.

Further, he has got an amazing quality to fight against all odds with determination as is seen from his personal life. He has got two daughters and a Son. His second daughter and son are differently-abled children but still he took the challenge in a positive way and brought the children up in the education front with flying colours and help them to lead a normal life with the support of his wife.

Inspite of his domestic problems, he never allowed them to stand in his official duties. It is not an exaggeration to say that he is an inspiration to all of us and a role model for us as to how to lead a life with ease even in difficult times. He always discharged his duties with sincerity, devotion and with lot of zeal.

All the Staff of AIR, Chennai and Prasar Bhararti Parivar Pray the Almighty to give Shri K Periyasamy enough strength to win over all the obstacles and wish him, a very happy, peaceful and healthy retired life.
