Shri Th. Brajabidhu Singh, PEX, DDK Imphal has been honoured with National Natya Bhushan Award-2018 for his outstanding performance and praiseworthy achievements for the promotion and popularization of Manipuri Theatre. The award ceremony was held recently during the International Theatre Festival held at Sarala Bhawan, Cuttack (Odisha).Some of the earlier awards and achievements of Shri Brajabidhu include Doordarshan Annual Awards (National Level) in 2002, 2008 and 2009; Best Director Award 2017 at 48th Short Play Competition for Creative Directors 2017 orgd. By Theatre Centre Manipur and State Kala Manipur; Best Director Award 2018 at All India Drama, Dance and Music Competition held at Cuttack, nomination for Indian Panorama-2006 for his documentary on film-maker Aribam Shyam Sharma etc.
