The 65th anniversary day of AIR Pune celebrated with great joy on 2nd October, 2018. On this occasion the whole office campus wore a festive look. Main office building was decorated like a bride.
The event was organised by AIR Pune club in AIR Pune's auditorium. Family members of staff, casual staff and retired employees of AIR Pune participated in celebration. First delicious breakfast was served. 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was also celebrated. An oath was given to audience. It was rendered by Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar, DDG (E) and Head of office at 9:45 a.m. At 10:00 hrs. actual cultural programme was started. Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar, Shri. Gopal Autee, Deputy Director (P) and Head of Prog. section, Shri. Nitin Kelkar, Asst. Director (News), Shri. Ravindra Ranjekar Asst. Engineer and General Secretary AIR Pune club, Shri. Dilip Palde, Treasurer AIR Pune club along with representatives of retired employees were called upon stage. They lit the lamp and inaugurated the function. Then retired employees were felicitated. One of the listeners offered giant bouquet as a token of love and affection towards AIR Pune.
Staff and their family members presented solo as well as group performances during cultural programme. An orchestra was hired who accompanied the singers. There were comedy skits, dance performances, single acts etc. which were enjoyed by audience a lot with loud clapping. On the eve of anniversary final matches of Badminton, Table Tennis and Carrom were conducted. A photography competition was also organised. The winners of competition and sport tournaments were facilitated with cash awards during the event.
Shri. Abdulrajjak Hebbalkar and Shri. Prasad Kulkarni jointly hosted the function. They had a fun with audience, cracked some random jocks and rendered Shero-Shayari which enhance the entertainment. The ceremony concluded after luscious meal.
