Someshwar Nath Kaul - a veteran broadcaster was born in Srinagar on 24.04.1924. A freedom fighter,he was earlier known as Comrade Someshwar during Quit Kashmir movement. After independence he worked as Field & Publicity Officer under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting during 1953-55. Thereafter he joined and served All India Radio in various capacities at AIR Jaipur,Bhopal,Baroda, Imphal, Leh and Delhi. In later years, he worked as Deputy Director,in Urdu Service of External Service Division. He superannuated as Director, Transcription and Programme Exchange Service in 30.04.1982.
Sh. Someshwar Nath Kaul left for his heavenly abode on 20 th January 2019 after some age related health issues. The family intends to hold the Prayer Meeting on 29th Jan 2019 in Akash Darshan Apartments, Mayur Vihar Phase-I , Delhi-110091. His son Dr. Kaul can be reached on Mob.09435122042.
