All India Radio Kurseong & Port Blair Shortwave transmitters decommissioned

All India Radio, Kurseong ( West Bengal) 50 kW shortwave transmitter on 4895/7230 KHz has been decommissioned with effect from 7th August , 2019. They are now on FM 103.5 MHz, 10 kW & 102.3 MHz, 5 kW.

Meanwhile the local officials & MP has requested to replace the existing shortwave transmitter with a new 300 kW DRM transmitter .

All India Radio, Port Balir 10 kW shortwave transmitter on 4760/7390 kHz has also been  decommissioned.
