Dr.Rafeeq Masoodi former ADG Doordarshan lauds efforts of young writers of North and Nort-East at world book festival,Delhi

 


                                                                 

Sahitya ekademy New Delhi organised an event in pragatimedan during world book festival in AUTHOR'S CORNER on 9th January 2019 in the evening in which large number of literature lovers and book lovers participated.The event was need PURVAUTTRI in which young writers who have made a mark in recent times and are a name in their regional languages participated. Those who read their creatives during the session included Tsering choral of Ladakh who read her hindi short story NYAY, Ms.P.Linthoingambi chanu from Manipur who too read the English translation of her own short story ,kamal kumar Tanti prize wining poet of Assam read his poems,Ms.Joram yalam Nabam from Nyishi read her hindi translation of short story and Ms.Maijali Rani Brahma who read her Bodo poems with English translation. THE SESSION WAS CHAIRED BY WRITER BROADCASTER AND SAHITYA EKADEMY AWARDEE DR.RAFEEQ MASOODI who was read his kashmiri and Hindi creatives.Dr.Masoodi in his presidential address lauded the efforts of sahitya ekademy new delhi for having organised such multi -lingual event which brought diverse Indian literary persuits on a single platform.

The event was ably conducted by Ms.Sneha Choudhry Editor English in sahitya ekademy new delhi.
On the side lines of the event Dr.Masoodi also launched the fiction book of class 11 student from ODISHA Abishek Bereha "pulitzer at 16"also which was one of the highlights of the world book festival new delhi.
