Vividh Bharati AIR Pune FM channel is broadcasting 'Special Geetganga' series on every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. This series is very popular among the listeners. On 11th Sept. 2019 its 125th episode was recorded. The musical consort was jointly organized by AIR Pune and Sanjeevani Mitra Mandal Sahakar Nagar, Pune. Sanjeevani Mitra mandal is celebrating this year as their Golden Jubilee year. Before commencement of consort Shri. Gopal Autee, (Deputy Director, Prog.), Shri. Pradeep Halasgikar (PEX,Co) and President of Sanjeevani Mitra Mandal lightened the lamp.
Famous Marathi singer Madhura Datar, young emerging singer Jaydeep Vaidya along with Pragyna Deshpamde and Suhas Shamgaonkar performed in the consort. Many popular Marathi and Hindi songs were presented which enthralled the audience. Shri. Sanjay Bhujbal, Announcer, AIR Pune had a conversation with Madhura Datar and Jaydeep Vaidya. During conversation both singers relate their musical journey. Before performing each song both singers were elaborating their remembrances and anecdote about the song.
The response to this consort was overwhelming. Audience was standing outside the premises and were enjoying. It was great opportunity for the ardent music lovers to listen some great performances.
Shri. Kedar Paranjpe, Ajay Atre, Rajendra Durkar, Hemant Potphode, Kedar More, Vijay Pawar, Smt. Anjali Rao and Amruta Thakurdesai accompanied on various musical instruments. Shri. Sanjay Bhujbal hosted the consort and Shri. Pradeep Halasgikar was producer.
